From an interview to a policy, a label, a widget and a record
The full generator is phase 2 and is in design. It will interview you in plain language — no legal terms in the questions — and work out the lawful bases, disclosures and rights sections for you. Until then, the builder below lets you assemble a label by hand from the icon set and produces every output the generator will: the policy text, the label markup, the vp-policy.json record, and a live preview of the footer widget.

How the screens behave
Every screen explains why it asks, with a direct link to the GDPR text (gdpr-info.eu) and ICO guidance, and shows the icons and a small diagram of the consequence wherever one helps. GDPR-defined terms are underlined with a sourced tooltip. Questions are plain language; text labels are as short as clarity allows.
Progress saves automatically; you can step back as well as forward; text fields are validated (length, format, allowed characters, URL and email syntax) before anything is stored or rendered.
Decided
A cookie policy generator is included as an optional branch from step 4. Nothing is stored server-side: outputs are downloaded and self-hosted. Exports are HTML and DOCX. The reference deployment will be at visualprivacy.eu.
